The Bible repeatedly teaches that Jesus will return like a thief in the night (I Thess. 5:2,4; 2 Pet. 3:10, Rev. 16:15, Matt. 24:43). 2 Peter 3:9 says God waits patiently for our repentance – he does not want our riddance. But after the second coming/secret coming like a thief in the night which the next verse talks about – 2 Peter 3:10 – it will be too late to repent. Why? Because Jesus is savior today and judge post his return! So, come now to Jesus who died for you in repentance. Don’t delay it. You and I don’t have the option of coming to Jesus like the thief on the Cross, because Jesus will return unannounced like a thief in the night! What’s more – we can die at any second and post death there is no chance for our salvation too (Heb. 9:27). What’s more – the Spirit of God can stop talking to stubborn us and after that there is no chance of salvation again (Gen. 6:3). So come to Jesus now! He will make your life joyous and give you a happiness that does not depend upon happenings!
